The National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI) provides a vehicle for consumers, family members, providers of mental health services, and other interested parties to network, engage in advocacy, and receive education and support.

Families of ACMH consumers encourage and support them as they work toward wellness and recovery. Family support assists consumers in attaining their personal goals. ACMH case managers facilitate a process of service planning that includes participants of the consumer’s choice.

On a programmatic level, family support and input assists ACMH to provide effective, quality services and in strategic planning. Family members of consumers of mental health services sit on the ACMH Board of Directors.
